We
(OHM) would first have to listen to your CD to see if it is something we
could possibly sell and the quality is at least industry standard. We
would then send approximately 60 CD’s to music buyers around the country.
Depending on their response, we would then tell you (the client) how many
CD’s we would need to fill the stores first order.
Please note that the packaging of your CD is very important and must have a
bar code on it. If you do not have one we can assign one to you. (Please see
additional services).
We would then
give you a detailed quarterly report on how your CD is selling, followed by
a payment to you, which will also be quarterly..

OHM has the
expertise and the ability to assist you in the production of your CD, from
studio to finished product (from graphics to bar code to pressings). We can
also assist you in the promotion of your CD, from posters, postcards, tee
shirts etc, to magazine and radio advertisement. Please call for a
consultation.

Here’s the
deal... OHM has a national distribution agreement, which is willing to
market your full length COMPACT DISC.
That means we have the recourses to place your CD in major chain stores
(8,000 outlets) around the United States.

THE MYTHS ABOUT DISTRIBUTION:
Just because a
CD is on store shelves does not mean it’s going to sell. You must have a
promotional campaign, either state to state, region by region or nationally.
The major chain store buyers wants to know what you are doing for promotion,
so the CD does not collect dust on their shelves and then has to be
returned. Unless you have an instant hit song, which is one out of every
1,000 songs, released, you must have a vehicle for getting your music heard
by the public. |
